General Information

Lindsey Manufacturing Co. has been designing and manufacturing transmission travelers and distribution stringing rollers since 1947.

All Lindsey distribution rollers and transmission travelers are designed using the latest computerized techniques and utilizing the combined experience of our engineering staff.

Distribution Rollers

Lindsey has a complete line of distribution rollers that that fit every job. Our 5930 Universal Stringing roller can be suspended from an insulator or mount to a wood or fiberglass cross arm. We also offer several designs of All Angle rollers that are ideal for stringing around corners.


5320 All Angle Roller

The patented Lindsey 5326 Horizontal Dumping Roller allows a lineman to quickly transfer the conductor from the roller to a post insulator trunion clamp in a single motion, without removing the roller or lifting the conductor. These Dumping Rollers can be used with both porcelain or non ceramic insulators.

In addition to these distribution rollers, Lindsey also makes bundle distribution rollers, aerial cable rollers and more.

Transmission Travelers

In 1973, Lindsey introduced the first bundle helicopter travelers, "FLY TRAVELERS", which allowed the pilot line to be threaded into the traveler without requiring a lineman to be positioned on the tower.



Lindsey also has a complete line of transmission travelers that that fit every transmission stringing job. For example, single conductor, fixed frame travelers (Model 6600) or single conductor side opening convertible travelers that can be made into single conductor helicopter travelers, are also available.

Lindsey can also provide all the necessary accessories to meet your transmission stringing requirements: automatic uplift rollers, traveler grounds, hold down rollers, running grounds, swivels, running boards and static rollers, to name a few.
